About Us
Fiddlestix was started in 2003 with a little red house that needed plenty of restoration! Over the next couple of years three more buildings were added and all of them became a Gift Shop where visitors were invited to wander along a "village lane," shop in themed venues, and relax under large maple trees on the lawn. From the beginning Fiddlestix has celebrated the heritage of our southern Ohio Appalachian region with traditional arts such as quilts, candles, rag rugs and woodworking. Because the owner enjoys sharing regional heritage and historic preservation the house became The Appalachian Quilt Cabin, one of the Historic Host Vacation Rentals. There are plans to move another at-risk vintage building or two to the complex. After restoration, each Guest rental functions as "sustainable preservation through tourism."
